The Full Moon and the Lanterns Glow Across the Campus

月满人齐全，家国两团圆。为了培养学生的环保意识，展示自己独特的创意，我校小学部中华文化与品德科、视觉艺术科、香港课程中文科及内地课程中文科一起举办了“庆中秋——创意环保灯笼制作活动”，让学生们在设计和制作灯笼的过程中感受中华传统文化的魅力，浸润于中秋节流传千年的美好月光中。

Under the full moon, the families unite, and so does the nation. To cultivate students’ environmental awareness and unleash their creativities, the Department of Chinese Culture and Moral Education (CCME) of Primary Section jointly organized the “Celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival: Eco-Friendly Lantern Design Activity” with the Chinese Department of Hong Kong and Mainland Curriculum, and the Visual Arts Department. This activity allowed students to experience the charm of Chinese traditional culture while immersing themselves in the beautiful Mid-Autumn moonlight.

Crafting Eco-Friendly Lanterns, and Embracing Green Spirits

明月入心，中秋临至。学生们运用从生活中寻找到的可循环利用的材料来制作灯笼，如废弃纸袋，喝完的饮料瓶，旧包装盒等。他们将这些材料二次利用，创造出很多精美的灯笼。

The Mid-Autumn Festival approached along with the bright moonlight. Students creatively reused materials such as discarded paper bags, empty beverage bottles and recycled packaging boxes, and formed them into a variety of exquisite lanterns.

奇思妙想送祝福

Appreciating the Beauty of Autumn Time, Sending Blessings Through Ingenious-designed Lanterns

九月的转角，月色伴随着桂香，校园一片芬芳。在中文课上，学生们分享了自己精心制作的灯笼，与同伴们交流设计妙思及体悟感受，奇思妙想如桂香芬芳了校园，在教室里碰撞出思维的芳香。大家欣赏着彼此的灯笼，沉浸在中秋节的喜乐中。

In the finale of September, the school bathed in the fragrance of osmanthus and the moonlight. Students shared their carefully-crafted lanterns and exchanged the designing inspirations with peers in the Chinese lessons. Creative ideas imbued the classes just like the aroma of osmanthus spreading through the campus. While appreciating the lanterns, everyone immersed themselves in the joy of the Mid-Autumn Festival.

Embracing the Campus with the Full Moon and the Lantern Glow

通过共同欣赏与评选，每个年级的代表带着他们的佳作，齐聚校园电视台进行展示，通过校园电视向全校同学分享中秋灯笼的设计妙想，并送出了自己诚挚的祝福。

Through introducing and appreciating the lanterns in the classes, top designers of each grade were selected and showcased their lanterns on Campus TV. They shared their brilliant ideas of lantern designing and sent out their heartfelt blessings to the entire school.

月亮很远，而一起赏月品灯笼的我们很近。天涯共此时，愿大家花常好，人常健，常团圆。

Far as the moon is, we feel close together under the moonbeams and lantern glow. Together, at this moment, we wish all in great health, happiness and reunion.
