二月一日下午，我校小學中文組及文化組舉辦了一場盛大的新春活動。各種創意獨特的活動紛呈而至，以寓教於樂的方式，向每一位老師、同學傳遞了春節的美好與盼望。

On the afternoon of 1st February, a grand ceremony was jointly held by Departments of Chinese Language and Chinese Cultural and Moral Education to celebrate the coming Spring Festival. Students and teachers are immersed in joy and happiness with a variety of creative events in this wonderful Spring Festival.

We Shared Joy and Laughter in Colourful Traditional Clothes

東方欲曉，走進校園，老師們、同學們身著各式華服，已然為校園增添新彩。長襖、袍衫、飛魚服……各個年級的同學們以華夏衣冠，展章服之美，揚錦繡文明。

As the dawn broke in the east, teachers and students stepped into the school yard, wearing splendid traditional clothes, adding a radiance to our campus. Through the magnificent Chinese gowns, students showcased the richness of traditional Chinese culture.

Performers Welcome the Audience with Beautiful Songs and Dances

在大劇場，好戲連台，好不熱鬧！同學們爭相獻技，你方唱罷我登場，國樂、舞蹈、朗誦、京劇、評書、小品、武術等精彩節目盡數亮相，贏得滿堂喝彩。

In the theatre, performers delighted the audience with a spectrum of performances, from traditional Chinese dance to recitation and Peking opera, from storytelling to comedies and martial arts. Their extraordinary performances have won thunderous applause from the audience.

朱紅的醒獅映在同學們眼中，點燃了他們對新春的期待；散發著浩然之氣的武術——連環拳，為顆顆稚嫩的心染上一絲正氣。一雙雙眼睛入神地看著台上的表演，聚精會神地領略中華文化的風韻。

While the red lion dances lit up both the students’ eyes and their spirits in the new year, Shaolin Linked Boxing, one of the Chinese martial arts, also filled their hearts with a sense of courage and righteousness.

京劇表演《穆桂英掛帥》演出中，表演者的唱腔優美，臉譜繪畫精美絕倫，讓人嘆為觀止。穆桂英的形象被表演者演繹得栩栩如生，同學們彷彿穿越時空，身臨其境地感受到了京劇藝術的獨特魅力和博大精深。

The Peking Opera singers plucked the heartstrings of the audience with their exquisite performance in “Lady General Mu Takes Command.” Mu Guiying, the protagnist, presented her character so vividly, taking the audience back to the past, where they experienced the unique charm and profoundness of this traditional art.

再蘸春意鬧今朝

Streets and Alleys Were Filled with Hustle and Bustle

室內籃球館內是一派繁忙景象。這邊廂，諸位非遺大師整裝待發，吹糖人、畫糖畫、手作糖葫蘆……各非遺攤位前熙熙攘攘。

看！只見攤位上的師傅熟練地揪起一坨黃色的糖稀，將它的尾部拉成一條細細長長的管子，當那坨糖稀被吹成一個小球時，師傅小心翼翼地將糖稀聚攏、拉長、彎曲，漸漸形成了動物的模樣。是小豬？或老虎？還是青龍？師傅手上的糖人栩栩如生，滿載匠心。

What a scene inside the basketball court! On one side, masters of intangible cultural heritage brought a feast to students by making sugar figurines, painting sugar drawings and hand crafting sugar-coated haws! The zone was bustling with vitality.  

Look! The master skillfully picked up a lump of yellow syrup and stretched its tail into a slender tube, through which the syrup lump was blown into a small ball, then knitted, stretched, and bent into an animal. The sugary figure immediately came to life in the craftsman's hands.

另一邊廂，六年級各班同學在班級攤位前嚴陣以待 —— 套圈、手作DIY、手作中藥香囊、Q版財神、猜燈謎、比劃我猜、飛花令、蹴鞠等，人潮絡繹不絕。各攤位熱火朝天，吆喝聲不斷、嬉笑聲不停，人頭攢動，這一方籃球館儼然成了熱鬧非凡的遊園會。

On the other side, G6 booth owners were eagerly waiting at their class booths – with the ring toss games, DIY crafts, handmade traditional Chinese medicine sachets, cute wealth gods, riddle guessing, charades, poetry games, cuju (ancient Chinese football), every booth was in full swing, and the venue became a bustling carnival. 

5H1 曹允初 Ashley CAO

今天,我們學校舉辦了新春遊園會。學校為我們精心準備了不同的攤位遊戲，例如吹糖人、心願祈福等；同學們還準備了多姿多彩的才藝表演，有朗誦、唱歌等。通過這次活動，不但令我們瞭解了中國傳統文化，還讓我們看到了同學獨一無二的才藝，我認為這次的新春遊園會是一次非常有趣的活動。

Today, our school held a Chinese New Year Carnival. Different booth games were prepared for us, such as Blowing Sugar Figurines, Wishing and Blessing, etc. Some students also staged various performances, such as recitation and singing. Through these activities, not only did we learn about traditional Chinese culture, but we also witnessed the unique talents of our classmates. I think this event is very interesting.

5H3 王奕霏 Angel WANG

作為學生助手，我有幸可以觀察到糖人是怎么的，我發現這還真是個技術活，吹的口既不能太小也不能太大，吹的人也只能慢慢的吹。前來體驗的同學們無論成功還是失敗，臉上都洋溢着幸福的笑容，我想，這就是中華傳統文化的魅力吧！真希望以後還能多體驗幾次這樣有意義的活動！

As a student helper, I got an opportunity to observe how Sugar Figurines were made. It was definitely not an easy job. The tube neck cannot be too thin or too wide. Students all volunteered to try it, no matter they could successfully made it or not. I believe this is the charm of traditional Chinese culture! I do hope we have more activities like this one in the future!
