2023-2024年中學部風紀領袖生重整隊伍,足足二百多人的學生組織,加入其中的皆是熱心服務校園、充滿活力、青春洋溢的同學,他們輪班當值、巡邏、維持校園活動秩序、與老師一同保護校園安全。
The Prefect team in the Secondary Section has undergone a significant reshuffle in 2023-2024, comprising over two hundred enthusiastic and energetic students. They take turns to be on duty, patrol the campus, maintain order during school activities, and collaborate with teachers to keep the campus safe.
其中,風紀總領袖生及副總領袖生一直帶頭做貢獻,他們付出的時間和精力已無法計算,他們展現出的領導才能和強大魄力我們都有目共睹。一批由他們帶領的「傑出風紀領袖生」,更是青出於藍而勝於藍,成為領導風紀領袖生隊伍的接班人,他們用尤為認真執勤的態度、準時出席當值及活動的行動、克己復禮的良好品德,獲得學校老師及總領袖生的一致讚揚!
Among them, the Head-Prefects and Deputy head-prefects have consistently led by example, dedicating immense time and effort. A group of 'Outstanding Prefects' led by them have emerged as successors to the Prefect team, earning unanimous praise from teachers and Head-Prefects for their diligent duty performance, punctual attendance, and admirable self-discipline.

Most notably, many of them have never violated any school rules, demonstrating thoughtful decision-making and self-restraint in both minor and major matters. 其中,A隊9G4班李樂陶同學更在頒獎當天代表全體「傑出風紀領袖生」,在全校師生面前發表演講,主題是「我對校規的理解」——她靜下心來思考,提前打磨稿件,用聲情並茂的方式講述自己對遵守校規的心得與理解。李同學一番深刻見解,令在場不少老師和同學都不由感同身受。
On the day of the awards ceremony, LI Katerina, a student from Class 9G4 in Team A, represented all the 'Outstanding Prefects' and delivered a speech which titled 'Why should we follow the School Rules' in front of the whole school students. She prepared her speech seriously, sharing her opinions and understanding of adhering to school rules in a proper manner. Her profound insights resonated deeply with many teachers and students in attendance.

大家早上好!
Good morning!
我是來自風紀領袖生隊伍A隊——9G4班的李樂陶,也是本年度的傑出領袖生隊員之一。很榮幸今天能在此發表感想。從剛入學到現在當值的一學年裏,我的感悟頗深。
I am LI Katerina, from Class 9G4, Team A of the Prefect team, and one of the Outstanding Prefects for this year. It is a great honour to share my ideas with you today. I have gained profound insights from September till now.
首先,談一談我成為領袖生的原因。有些同學可能會認為領袖生很啰嗦、甚至是多管閒事,總是拿張記名表記違規。但其實我們並不是為了記同學名字才當領袖生,而是為了幫助學校更好地運轉。五月份領袖生全體月會上,張米樂老師分享了一個例子:一名領袖生在當值期間成功阻止了一次同學的互毆事件,幫助同學前往醫療室,在後期還充當了「目擊者」的身份,幫助理清事情的前後經過。我聽後印象非常深刻,不僅為這名隊員感到驕傲,還為領袖生的身份感到自豪——原來我們也能為締造和諧、美麗、安穩的校園獻出一份力量!這就是我們每天犧牲小息時間、任勞任怨當值的意義:在發現緊急情況時,我們就是一道保障;在保護同學安全的同時,也保障了自己的安全!
Firstly, let me talk about why I joined the prefect team. Some students might see prefects as being overly verbose or even meddlesome, always doing record for infractions. However, our role as a prefect is never to record names but to contribute to the functioning of our school. During the monthly Prefects' meeting, Ms Zhang Mile shared an impressive example: a prefect stopped a fighting issue between two students, escorted the injured to the infirmary, and later helped to clarify the sequence of events. This left a profound impression on me. I was so proud of being a prefect—we can indeed contribute to create a harmonious, beautiful, and secure campus! It is meaningful for us to contribute, and sacrifice our time without complaint: in times of emergency, we are the safeguard. We are always protecting our peers, also protecting ourselves.
故此,成為領袖生,令我換一個角度理解校規。我一開始也和大部分人一樣,覺得校規太多,又不是每一條都那麼人性化,像是不能帶手機,也不能在教室吃零食……但其實,不允許帶手機是為幫助我們更好地專注到學習中,青少年的自控能力不夠強,偏偏又有重要的責任要履行,如果有了手機或其他電子產品,我們就會很容易被分散注意力,還忽略了與身邊朋友的人際交往。可能還是有一些同學認為,不玩手機就算了,為甚麼還有必須好好穿校服、不能在教室吃零食、不能在教室打球等瑣碎的規則?
Thus, being a prefect let me know more about our school rules. At first, like many of our schoolmates, I thought that the school rules are difficult to follow and not all of them particularly helpful, such as it is not allow to use mobile phone in campus and eat snacks in classroom. However, I gradually found out that the prohibition of mobile phone designed to enhance our focus on studies. As adolescents with limited self-control, we can easily attract attention from mobile phone and other electronics, it also affects our social relationship with peers. Some might argue that even if the bans on mobile phones is acceptable, why must we adhere to petty rules like wearing uniform properly, avoiding snacks in classrooms, or refraining from playing sports indoors?
實際上,經過我這一年的感受,我認為以上幾點已非校規這麼簡單,其實更是社會法則,是我們為人處世、做人的基本道德。君子不重則不威,學則不固,在公眾場合「正衣冠」是理所當然的事,校服穿得邋邋遢遢,真的會引人側目;教室也屬公眾場合,是每位同學學習的地方,吃零食可能會弄髒教室、發出異味,打球可能會砸傷同學,我還聽說有同學玩球,將球從六樓誤扔到了一樓的事件,不小心造成了高空拋物,更是沒有公德心。而這一切都是由於對校規的輕視。如果有人認為自己沒有必要遵守校規,認為帶不帶手機、吃不吃零食、打不打球都是自己的權利,自己被校規侵犯了權利——其實不然,校規正正是為了保證我們每個人在公眾場合都能享受到盡可能大的公正、不受他人影響。設想一下,你的舍友帶了手機到宿舍,每天熄燈後還在通電話、打遊戲,而你第二天還需要打起精神上課、考試,同時還要忍受他人帶手機、你卻被嚴加管束的不公平,心裡會是怎樣的感受呢?設想一下,你的同學在教室吃零食,薯片渣掉了一地,垃圾又不扔掉,留在了你的座位隔壁,又會是怎樣的感受呢?遵守校規,不僅有利於讓我們在成長階段端正自身、集中註意力完成長遠的目標,也有利於我們日後融入社會。現在的校規就好比你以後工位的規定,到那時,如果不遵守規定,得到的可能就不止是一個違規,而是失去收入了。
In fact, I've come to understand that these rules should not only follow in school, but also follow in our society. As an old saying goes, 'Without gravity, there is no authority; without learning, there is no solid foundation.' Wearing clothes tidily in public is a must. Similarly, our classroom belongs to everybody. If you eat snacks, it can soil the environment and disrupt our learning atmosphere. While playing sports indoors, there is a risk to hurt our classmates. I've even heard that there was a ball accidentally thrown by a student from sixth floor to ground floor, It was very dangerous. All these uncivic and dangerous issues caused by violate our school rules. Those who believe they are entitled to defy rules, misunderstand the purpose of regulations. Follow the school rules is a way to protect everyone’s rights. Imagine your roommate talking on the phone or playing games after 23:00 while you need to be fresh for class and exams the next day, what would you feel? How would you feel if your classmate left snack wrappers and chips around your seat? Adhering to school rules not only helps us maintain order and focus, but also prepares us for seamless integration into society. School rules are akin to workplace regulations, disregarding the rules of workplace can lead to more severe consequences, like you may lose your job.
我想,這就是我做了一年領袖生,且獲得了傑出領袖生名譽的原因——我明白了遵守校規的意義,為自己、為他人、為所有人能夠更好的發展。最後,我期待遇見更多優秀的同輩,也希望我們領袖生團隊越來越好,謝謝大家的聆聽!
I believe this is why, after a year as a Prefect and awarded as an Outstanding Prefect, I understand the significance of adhering with school rules—for our own betterment, for the well-being of others, and for fostering a harmonious environment for all of us. Lastly, I look forward to meeting more outstanding peers and wish our Prefects Team become better and better. Thank you for your listening!

As Katerina mentioned, complying with the school rules does not infringe upon the personal rights, but rather safeguards the legitimate rights and interests of everyone on campus. It is obvious that her speech will enable our students to better understand the importance of observing the school rules: "For oneself, for others, for the better development of all!" We hope that all students can not only understand the intentions behind the admonitions telling form teachers and prefects, but also can learn from these Outstanding Prefects - strive to become future leaders, starting with being a better self!
