On the 30th October 30, 2024, the Secondary Section of Shenzhen Hong Kong Pui Kiu College Longhua Xinyi School in Shenzhen launched a unique legal education campaign. During the event, police officers and lecturers from the Longhua Branch of the Shenzhen Public Security Bureau carried out anti-fraud, anti-school bullying, demonstration on skills and equipment and other activities. The wonderful law popularization lectures received bursts of applause from teachers and students.

Lecture on Anti-Fraud Knowledg

First, lecturer Ms. Zhou Jingjing from the Anti-Fraud Centre of Longhua Public Security Bureau gave the students a lively and interesting lecture on anti-fraud knowledge. Through three real cases, the lecturer explained the types, methods, hazards and prevention methods of fraud in a simple and easy-to-understand manner, and reminded teachers and students to always be vigilant in daily life and not to easily trust calls, text messages or online information from strangers. If you encounter uncertain situations, seek help promptly and call the police.

In the interactive session, Ms. Zhou asked students to discuss in groups and share fraud cases they had encountered or heard about. The students actively participated, which not only deepened their understanding, but also raised their awareness of preventing the fraud.

Dissemination of Anti-Bullying on Campus

School bullying is one of the social issues, which has attracted much attention in recent years. In order to make students more deeply aware of the dangers of campus bullying and learn how to prevent and react to campus bullying, Ms. Sun Yaoyao, a police officer from Longhua Public Security Bureau, shared relevant knowledge with the students on the theme of "Preventing Campus Bullying and Building a Safe Campus".

Ms. Sun allowed students to more intuitively understand the definition, manifestations, harmful consequences and preventive measures of campus bullying by playing videos, explaining cases, and on-site interactions. She emphasized that school bullying not only causes physical and psychological harm to the victims, but also has a negative impact on the perpetrators. Therefore, we must work together to create a harmonious, friendly and safe campus environment.

Ms. Sun also encouraged students to stand up and stop bullying on campus, timely report the situation to teachers or parents and called on all teachers and students in the school to pay attention to the issue of campus bullying and work together to build a beautiful campus.

Display of police skills and equipment

Next, a wonderful display of police equipment to the teachers and students of the school had been demonstrated. With the video explanation, students had a clearer understanding of the functions and usage of different police equipment, and had more thoughts and discussions on building a stronger awareness of social public safety and strengthening the awareness of safeguarding their own legitimate rights and interests.

Finally, with the cheers from students, there came the show session by the tracker dogs which made people gasp in exclamation. Police dog handlers from the Longhua Public Security Bureau took their "right-hand assistants" - police tracker dogs onto the stage. According to the police officer, this "champion" police dog has made outstanding contributions to social security in our district on several occasions. It has a strong body shape and bright eyes, showing a very high level of professionalism.

According to the session given by the dogs to demonstrate search, capture, rescue and other drills, students appreciated the power and loyalty of the tracker dogs. At the same time, they have gained a deeper understanding of anti-terrorism work, and appreciated the hard work and selfless dedication of the public security officers.

By listening to the explanations and watching the demonstration of the skills and equipment, students deeply felt the majesty of laws and the sacredness of being a member of the police.

Through this education lecture, students further understood the important role of laws in protecting personal rights and interests and maintaining social fairness and justice. They learned how to use legal weapons to protect their legitimate rights and interests, and how to seek legal assistance and protection while encountering illegal infringement.

This law popularization campaign has been widely and highly praised by teachers and students across the school.
