2026-2027 Admissions Seminar Successfully Held

On the morning of 20th December, Pui Kiu Xinyi Kindergarten welcomed parents and young children to its 2026-2027 Admissions Seminar. Parents and children gathered on campus to begin a warm and engaging journey of discovery.

Educational Philosophy and Curriculum Introduction

At 10.00, the seminar commenced in a full theatre. Ms. Sulina YIP, Head Principal of Pui Kiu International Kindergarten & Nursery, opened the session with a warm welcome. She shared Pui Kiu's more than 70 years of commitment to education and introduced the school's core philosophy of being child-centred, nurturing with care, and promoting balanced development in both Chinese and English, allowing parents to appreciate the school's strong educational foundations.

This was followed by a presentation from Ms. Jessie Lui Yin Wa, Executive Principal of Pui Kiu Xinyi Kindergarten. She provided a detailed introduction to the kindergarten's educational philosophy and teaching approaches, covering immersive bilingual learning, personalised support for children's development, enquiry-based learning, and the cultivation of social and emotional skills. By drawing on real classroom situations, Ms. LUI brought these educational principles to life, vividly illustrating how Pui Kiu Xinyi Kindergarten supports children in setting off confidently through a balance of care and appropriate challenge. She also announced the 2026-2027 admissions timetable and application guidelines, offering parents clear and practical guidance on the enrolment process.

The curriculum-sharing session was equally engaging. Teacher Kari illustrated the fun and effectiveness of the kindergarten's English lessons through practical examples, showing how children are introduced to language naturally through interactive activities. Ms. CHEN Min explained how the Chinese curriculum integrates culture, reading, and expression to support children's language and emotional development.

A Walk Around the Campus: Every Space a Place for Growth

After the seminar, parents and children explored the campus in small groups, enjoying an immersive visit. In the bright and open classroom areas, children's handmade work and traces of their exploration could be seen throughout. The warm, well-lit environment, together with a wide range of learning materials and interactive facilities, allowed parents to experience first-hand the joyful atmosphere in which children learn and play.

Parent-Child Experiences: Sharing Joy and Growing Together

The campus visit offered more than just a glimpse; families enjoyed hands-on experiences and opportunities for shared participation. The kindergarten thoughtfully prepared a variety of interactive activities, allowing parent-child time to be filled with joy, warmth, and meaningful shared growth.

Music Mini Theatre: Awakening Creativity Through Melody

Music plays a natural role in daily life at the kindergarten. Through lively melodies and gentle rhythms, it allows children to experience joy and express emotions beyond words, supporting imagination and creativity.

Stepping into the Pui Kiu music room felt like entering a space designed for sound and exploration. Triangles, hand drums, xylophones, shakers, and other instruments were available for children to discover. Here, music is not only listened to, but actively explored. With gentle guidance from teachers, children freely experimented with rhythm and sound. The steady beats of drums and the soft sounds of shakers came together into simple, shared rhythms. Seated in a circle, children followed the teacher's beat as they played African drums together. Simple rhythms gradually developed into flowing patterns, with moments of concentration and bursts of laughter. Here, music became both play and dialogue—an experience of listening and self-expression.

Parent-Child Science Magic Class: Curiosity Comes to Life

The "Science Laboratory" was filled with surprises, where simple and fun experiments made science feel like magic.

Arrow "Turning" Magic: Using a cup of water and a paper with an arrow drawn on it, parents and children watched together as the arrow quietly changed direction when water was poured in, witnessing the fascinating moment when light appeared to "bend".

Colour "Invisibility" Trick: Children, working independently or with their parents, created colourful designs. After sealing them and placing them in water, the bright colours gradually "disappeared", creating delightful moments where creativity met science.

This was more than an experiment—it was a shared journey of exploration. Through laughter and surprise, children's curiosity was sparked, and time spent together became warm and meaningful.

Storytime Corner: Setting Sail Through Reading

A book is like an invisible window—open it, and a wider world comes into view. Pui Kiu Xinyi Kindergarten not only offers a rich collection of picture books but also provides a dedicated "reading garden" for children. Here, children can explore freely and immerse themselves quietly, allowing books to serve as a bridge to self-understanding, empathy, and a broader world.

At the event, children's eyes sparkled as they followed storylines with focus and excitement. They eagerly answered teachers' questions and shared reading discoveries with their parents. These stories intertwined with warm parent-child moments, planting the seeds of a lasting love for reading.

Parents were fully engaged throughout the experience: some crouched beside their children during experiments, others offered gentle encouragement while capturing moments of concentration, and some exchanged reflections with fellow parents, their eyes filled with reassurance and anticipation. In these moments, the campus felt not only like a place of learning but also a warm haven for parent-child connection.

Education is a journey of warm companionship and shared growth. This admissions seminar allowed parents to gain a deep understanding of Pui Kiu Xinyi Kindergarten's educational philosophy and campus environment while highlighting the kindergarten's holistic care for children—from knowledge and character development to nurturing curiosity and emotional well-being.

Admission Application Procedure

Notes of Admission Application for 2026-2027 Kindergarten 

1.Application Procedures

● The submission period for admission application will end on 7th March 2026.

● Parents are required to apply online by completing the application form on our website. Upon confirmation of your application (with candidate number), applicants will be invited to join the admission assessment which will be held in end of March 2026.

2.The assessment arrangements will be announced on our school website on 14 March 2026 (Saturday) after 6:00 p.m. Parents are required to make use of the “Candidate Number” of your child in enquiring about the arrangements.

Required Document (Upload via our online application system)

● Student’s recent colour photo (1.5 x 2 inch)

● Identity Document(s) of student (Copy)

● Copies of year-end school reports (If any)

● Student learning portfolio (If any): Recommendation letters, records of extra-curricular activities or awards

3.Proposed School fees

New Student school fees for the year of 2025/2026: CNY160,000 per year, payable in 2 installments.
