2026 JUPAS Results Released. 44.8% of Our HKDSE Graduates Admitted to Top 3 Hong Kong Universities

On 5 August 2026, the Joint University Programmes Admissions System (JUPAS) officially released the main round offer results. This year, despite a significant increase of 5.3% in the number of applicants, which has caused the admission cut-score to rise and admssion rate to decline, our 2026 cohort has once againsucessfully secured. Among the 154 graduates of the Hong Kong Curriculum 2026 Cohort, 69 students (44.8%) have been admitted to Top 3 universities in Hong Kong (The University of Hong Kong, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology), 75.3% have been admitted to undergraduate programmes at universities in Hong Kong while 87.7% got admitted to various undergraduate programmes offered by universities from Hong Kong and the Mainland of China, 61.8% have been admitted to "Project 985 / 211" universities or Hong Kong universities of equivalent standing in the Mainland of China. Universities in the Mainland of China that our students are admitted to include: The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, and The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou), Beijing Normal-Hong Kong Baptist University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Fudan University, Wuhan University, Sun Yat-sen University, Sichuan University, Tongji University, Nankai University, Xiamen University, Central South University, South China University of Technology, University of Electronic and Technology of China, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, Central Academy of Fine Arts, Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, China Academy of Art, Beijing Foreign Studies University, Shanghai International Studies University. These achievements are a testament to the school's shared vision to empower teaching through strategic integration of successful Chinese and Western education systems, alongside Shenzhen-Hong Kong collaboration.

Admissions to Universities in Hong Kong

● One student secured early admission to the Science Master Class at the University of Hong Kong (HKU) through the "School Nominations Direct Admission Scheme (SNDAS)" of the Hong Kong Education Bureau. HKU ranks 11th globally, 2nd in Asia, and 1st in Hong Kong in the 2026 QS World University Rankings.

● Besides, several students were admitted to various universities, such as The University of Hong Kong, studying relevant undergraduate programmes ranging from computer engineering to science through different schemes , for example, the "Principal's Nomination Scheme (SPN)" and the "Young Scientist Scheme (YSS)."

● High-performing candidates in the HKDSE Examination were admitted to a variety of popular undergraduate programmes studying various fields ranging from Laws, Pharmacy, Nursing, Economics and Finance, Financial Technology, Business Administration, Accountancy, Marketing Analytics and Technology, Data Analytics, Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Biotechnology and Business, Chemical and Biological Engineering, Psychology, Quantitative Social Analysis, Education, History, Global Chinese Studies, etc.

University Admission to Universities in the Mainland of China

● This year, 109 students from the Hong Kong Curriculum have received offers from universities in the Mainland of China. Among them, 89 students (61.8%) have received admission offers from "Project 985 / 211" universities or campuses of Hong Kong universities of equivalent standing in the Mainland of China; 64 students are admitted to "Project 985 / 211" universities.

● This year, one student has been admitted to Fudan University through its Hong Kong Secondary School Principal's Nomination Scheme.

● Many of our graduates have been admitted to various popular programmes offered at different prestigious universities, with their respective rankings shown below, in the Mainland of China. These include, but are not limited to, Clinical Medicine, Artificial Intelligence and the Low-Altitude Economy, New Energy Science and Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Electronic Information Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Automation, Finance, Economics, International Trade, Accounting, Modern Languages, Maritime Management, Biomedical Engineering, History, and Media and Communication Studies.

Admissions to Top Overseas Universities

In addition to universities in Hong Kong and the Mainland of China, graduates have also used their HKDSE exam results to successfully apply for Bachelor's Degree programmes of top overseas universities in the UK, Australia, etc. These top overseas universities include: University College London, King's College London, The University of Sydney, University of Technology Sydney. Popular programmes include Maths and Statistics, Chemistry, Natur Science and Phisics.

Our 2026 A-Level graduates have also continued the school's tradition of academic excellence. Following two years of study, 100% of students received conditional offers from Top 40 Universities in the QS World University Rankings. Students received offers from leading institutions including Imperial College London, University College London (UCL), University of Hong Kong, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, across a wide range of fields including engineering, mathematics, economics and business, science, and interdisciplinary studies.

● Each graduate received an average of six offers from leading universities.

● The total value of scholarships offered exceeded RMB 980000.

● 50% of A-Level graduates received offers from Hong Kong's Top 3 universities, and 40% secured places at the UK's G5 universities.

From the inaugural cohort to the third, Pui Kiu Xinyi School's graduates have consistently achieved outstanding university admission results, attesting to the solid effectiveness of its whole-person education and Shenzhen-Hong Kong integrated education. We firmly believe that the true essence of education lies not merely in elite university placements, but in nurturing students' lifelong character of daring to break through and embrace challenges. Looking forward, the school will steadfastly uphold its philosophy of integrating the Chinese and western education systems and Shenzhen-Hong Kong, continuing to inspire students' potential and empowering them with broad perspectives and resilient capabilities to contribute to the development of the Greater Bay Area and the nation.
