Outstanding Results in the 2026 A-Level, AS & IGCSE Examinations

Results and global grade statistics for the latest international examinations have recently been released. Amid strong competition worldwide, students from the international curriculum at Pui Kiu Xinyi School (PKXYS) have once again achieved outstanding results through their dedication and pursuit of excellence. In this year’s A-Level examinations, one student achieved full marks in Mathematics and will receive the Top in the World Award in the Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards. Below are some of the key highlights from this year’s examination results.

Grade 12 Examination Results and University Admissions Outcomes

The PKXYS Class of 2026 A-Level graduates continued their strong academic performance this year. Following two years of study, 100% of the graduating cohort received conditional offers from universities ranked within the QS World University Rankings Top 40, including Imperial College London, University College London, The University of Hong Kong, The Chinese University of Hong Kong and The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Their chosen fields span engineering, mathematics, economics and business, science, and interdisciplinary studies.

● Each student received an average of six offers from leading universities.

● 50% of A-Level graduates received offers from Hong Kong’s top three universities, while 40% received offers from universities in the UK G5 group.

Our students also delivered excellent results in the A-Level examinations. In several of the school’s strongest subjects, the proportion achieving top grades exceeded the global average by approximately 30–70 percentage points, demonstrating particularly strong performance in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Economics.

Grade 11 Examination Results

Our Grade 11 students are the first cohort to progress through the school’s full IGCSE-to-A-Level pathway. The proportion of students achieving grade A or A* across the school’s strongest subjects was significantly above the global average. The results were particularly strong in Business, Chemistry, Psychology and Physics, where performance exceeded global figures by approximately 44-53 percentage points, reflecting both the students’ solid academic foundations and the strength of the school’s international curriculum.

● 18% of students achieved grades A or A* in at least five subjects

● 38% of students achieved grades A or A* in at least four subjects

● 62% of students achieved grades A or A* in at least three subjects

Grades 9 and 10 Examination Results

Our Grade 9 and 10 students also achieved impressive results in this year’s IGCSE examinations, performing well above the global average across a number of the school’s strongest subjects, with differences of more than 30 percentage points on average. We are confident that, with sustained development over the next two years, our students will continue to demonstrate strong academic abilities and well-rounded competencies.

Another Top-in-the-World Achievement

We are delighted to announce that in 2026, one PKXYS student achieved full marks in Mathematics and the highest score worldwide, and will win the Top in the World Award in the Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards. This marks the second time a PKXYS student has received this distinction, reflecting the school’s sustained commitment to high-quality education.

Since its establishment, the international curriculum at PKXYS has remained committed to the holistic student development of every student. Through a multidimensional curriculum, complemented by systematic and personalised university guidance, the school creates broader opportunities for students to explore their potential and pursue diverse pathways for growth.

The International Division recruits experienced educators from around the world, with strong academic backgrounds and a deep commitment to teaching. Among our teaching staff:

● Over 95% have studied overseas or in Hong Kong;

● Over 70% hold a master’s or doctoral degree;

● Many graduated from leading universities including the University of Cambridge, Harvard University, Imperial College London,Columbia University, the University of California, University College London, The University of Hong Kong and the National University of Singapore. Six members of staff are University of Cambridge graduates, teaching across a range of subject areas;

● The ratio of Chinese to foreign teachers is 2:1.

Building on this strong teaching team, the international curriculum has established the ACE Programme, guided by the philosophy of bringing together the strengths of Chinese and Western education and drawing on the distinctive advantages of Shenzhen and Hong Kong to nurture brilliant generations. The programme selects students with strong academic potential and pairs each of them with an academic mentor. Students are supported in exploring possible areas of specialisation and are encouraged to independently undertake and present a research project each semester. The programme also provides preparation for admissions tests and interviews for students aspiring to universities such as Oxford, Cambridge and Ivy League institutions.

Today, PKXYS students are demonstrating strong academic foundations, increasingly clear aspirations and growing all-round capabilities as they pursue university opportunities around the world. Their offers and recognition from universities that match their aspiration reflect not only their skills and confidence to keep learning and growing, but also the school’s long-term commitment to developing a robust pathway for student growth.

Looking ahead, PKXYS will continue to support every student through a thoughtful, long-term approach to education, helping each of them find the pathway that best suits their strengths and aspirations.
