高铁的前世今生——培侨信义学校科普讲座

為進一步弘揚科學精神，激發同學們的科學興趣，提高同學們的科技文化素養，我校內地課程林校長於4月17日邀請深圳北站站長歐陽巍先生走進校園，為內地課程中學部帶來一場精彩的講座——「高鐵的前世今生」。

To further promote the spirit of science, trigger students' interest in science, and improve their technological and cultural literacy, on 17th April, Principal Lin of the PKXYS Mainland Curriculum invited Mr. Ouyang Wei to the campus. As the station chief of Shenzhen North Station, Mr. Ouyang was here to deliver an exciting lecture on the past and present of high-speed rail to the secondary students in the Mainland Curriculum.

歐陽先生結合科普視頻，通過深入淺出、生動有趣的方式呈現科普內容，讓同學們瞭解高鐵的發展歷程，學習高鐵的科技創新，開拓視野，更科學地提高學習和探究能力。講座現場設置了多個趣味問答環節，同學們爭相舉手，踴躍發言，不僅學習到許多高鐵相關的歷史和科技知識，更贏得精美獎品——「復興號」高鐵模型。

Supported by popular science videos, Mr. Ouyang went through the development course of high-speed rail and the technological innovations of high-speed rail in an understandable and intriguing presentation style, thus broadening students' horizons and improving their learning and exploratory abilities. The lecture included multiple Q&A sessions, where students eagerly raised their hands and actively engaged themselves in the interaction. In learning knowledge of development history and technology related to high-speed rail, our students also won exquisite prizes - "Fuxing" high-speed rail models.

回溯完高鐵的前世今生，歐陽先生帶領同學們著眼於中國的鐵路建設，我國高鐵從一片空白到世界之最、從摸黑探索到不斷突破、從依圖製造到創造引領、從追趕者蛻變為領跑者，至2007年「和諧號」CRH動車組在中國亮相開始，只歷經短短五六年間，中國已一躍成為名副其實的世界高速鐵路大國。而我們學校的「鄰居」深圳北站，更是我國「八縱八橫」高鐵網的重要節點，南接香港西九龍，北接廣州南站，地理位置優越，是廣深港高鐵重要的一站。歐陽先生以深圳北站為例，教導同學們如何購票、乘坐高鐵，在座的同學無一不聽得津津有味。

After exploring the past and present of high-speed rail, Mr. Ouyang led the students to zoom in on China's railway construction. China's high-speed rail has gone from nothing to something, from exploration to breakthrough, from manufacturing to innovating, from catching up to leading ruler. The debut of the "Hexie" CRH EMC (the multiple unit high-speed and higher-speed trains) in 2007 was merely a start. In just five or six years, China has become a truly world-class high-speed rail giant. Our "neighbour", Shenzhen North Station, is a critical node in China's "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" high-speed rail network, connecting to Hong Kong West Kowloon in the south and Guangzhou South Station in the north. Its superior geographical location makes it an essential station on the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong high-speed rail line. Using Shenzhen North Station as an example, Mr Ouyang demonstrated students how to purchase tickets and ride high-speed trains, intriguing the students immensely.

通過本次科普講座，同學們學習到高鐵的輝煌歷史，感受到高鐵背後的科技內涵，體驗到中國高鐵對世界的正面影響，為我們偉大祖國的飛速發展而無比自豪！我們相信這些科普講座能夠在同學們心中埋下一顆種子，激發培僑信義學子的求知欲，今後將會更加刻苦學習，在自己感興趣的領域發光發熱，為祖國的未來建設添磚加瓦！

Through this science lecture, students learned about the glorious history of high-speed rail and witnessed the technological connotation behind high-speed rail. In feeling the impact of China's high-speed rail on the world, students were proud of the rapid development of our great motherland! Hopefully, these science lectures were like a seed in the hearts of students, stirring their thirst for knowledge and striving to study harder in the future, be delightful and shiny in the areas of their own interests, and contribute to the construction of our nation!
