4th December 2024, coincides with the 11th National Constitution Day. In order to study and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the CPC and all previous plenary sessions, promote the socialist legal system with the Constitution as the core, enhance the constitutional awareness and legal concepts of teachers and students, and create a good legal environment for our school to comprehensively promote the rule of law, Shenzhen Hong Kong Pui Kiu College Longhua Xinyi School (PKXYS) held a "Constitutional Promotion Week" from 2nd December to 6th December, with the theme of "Knowing the Law in Heart, Obeying the Law in Action".
The Constitutional Promotion Week mainly carries out activities in three aspects, aiming to let the light of the Constitution illuminate every corner through various forms of education and publicity, so that the seeds of the rule of law can take root and sprout in the heart of every student.

Publicity Activities within the School
The Moral and National Education (MNE) Department (Secondary Section) distributed and explained the "Legal Knowledge Booklet" to all classes in the secondary section, covering the Constitution, Civil Code and other relevant legal knowledge. Through reading the booklet, students gain a deeper understanding of the laws. The booklet not only contains interpretations of legal provisions, but also contains vivid analysis of many cases, allowing students to understand the application of the laws in actual situations.
In addition, the school has also placed a number of signboards with the theme of "Carrying forward the spirit of the Constitution and safeguarding the authority of the Constitution" in public area. Students can browse and study legal knowledge on the signboards during breaks. These signboards not only beautify the campus environment, but also become useful material for students to learn legal knowledge.

Student Works on the Theme of Legal Culture
In addition to reading, the secondary section also held a design competition on the theme "I Know Constitutional Knowledge". The students were very enthusiastic about the event. The G7-8 students used their creativity to design creative bookmarks. Each small piece of paper contained a deep understanding of the spirit of the Constitution. The G9-10 students used brushes and words to vividly show the essence of the Constitution, while the G11-12 students developed more profound creations on rice paper, reflecting their in-depth thinking and unique insights into constitutional knowledge.
Through this creative activity, students not only demonstrated their painting skills, but also learned and understood constitutional knowledge, cultivating their awareness of the rule of law and sense of civic responsibility. The following is the list of winners of this design competition:

The excellent works of students in this event will be displayed in public areas on campus, such as corridors, classrooms and library of the school for three months. It is expected that students will further internalize the legal knowledge they have learned in the atmosphere of rule of law, and also externalize the spirit of the laws into practice.

Class Teacher Period for Constitutional Education
On 4th December, We held a very meaningful class teacher period on the theme of constitutional education. This event was broadcast live on the campus TV, allowing every student to participate in this important learning moment at the same time.
In this period, the Moral and National Education Department (Secondary Section) invited teachers who teach "Citizenship and Social Development" and "Chinese History" from Hong Kong Curriculum, "Moral and Legal Education" from Mainland Curriculum and student representatives from our school. They elaborated on the development process and historical significance of our National Constitution, the constitutional relationship between our country and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the basic rights and obligations of citizens, and etc. The teachers, based on real-life cases, used vivid and professional language to help students gain a more comprehensive and profound understanding of the Constitution. Students actively participated in the discussions and raised many in-depth questions, showing their deep understanding of the laws and their serious attitude towards social responsibility.
Through the "National Constitution Day" education and promotion week activities, we hope to plant the seeds of rule of law in the hearts of students, and encourage them to become loyal defenders of the Constitution through their practical actions, so that they can consciously study, understand, abide by and use the laws as legal weapons to protect their legitimate rights and interests as well as to contribute to the construction of a law-based society.
