As our Grade 11 prefects prepare to step down, a new generation is ready to take the lead. Our Head Prefects shared their warm words:
Message from Head Prefect 11H2 Celine: Over the past year, I have seen the team’s energy and passion, along with moments of exhaustion. Behind it all is everyone’s unwavering dedication to the team. Working with you has taught me much—like staying calm to solve challenges instead of panicking. As the saying goes, “Dripping water wears through a stone; it’s not achieved in a day, and every effort counts.” Let’s keep striving together for a brighter future!
Message from Head Prefect 11H4 Joie: As the new year nears, all the best to you—may dreams come true and studies keep improving! Remember, true leadership starts with self-care. As you contribute, take care of yourselves: rest when needed, ask for help when stuck—don’t trade the big picture for small gains. Your well-being, body and mind, is the team’s foundation for success. Keep going, stay strong!
Message from Head Prefect 11H4 Maggie: Time will guide me, as you have always stood by me. I vividly recall the nerves of my first morning assembly, the confusion over duty rosters, the jitters of speaking to fellow leaders—what felt like missteps then are now steps of growth. A quote comes to mind: “We rarely see a moment’s worth until it becomes a memory.” Every word we crafted, every encouraging look, helped me grow, even in my stumbles. Thank you for your support, patience, and honest feedback—gifts that nurtured me. Let’s keep learning and growing together.
Graduating Head Prefects also left words of encouragement for their younger teammates:
Message from Head Prefect 12H1 Carol: How’s your work going this year? Looking back to my time as Head Prefect in Grade 11, balancing schoolwork and duties was tough, but contributing to the school while growing personally felt truly meaningful—I’m sure many of you will agree. This taught me: True leadership means holding yourself to the same standards you ask of others. Grateful to the Prefect Team for teaching me this early. I hope each of you finds a principle you believe in—and strives for it. Hope every teammate can do their best and make our school better. Keep going, prefetcs!
Message form Head Prefect 12H1 Berlin: Hard to believe our Prefect Team has already been around for four years! It has grown so much, with more students joining us. In my three years as a prefect, I made great friends, felt the power of teamwork, and learned to unite others by using my strengths. It is been truly rewarding. To those who take up the baton: Keep going! Use your strengths to support each other, and keep making our school better!
Message from Head Prefect 12H1 Yolice:Time flies—my term as Head Prefect has ended. This past year, I made many new friends and gained more courage to try new things: from sweating through my first speech to now confidently organizing events, leading assemblies, and giving monthly summaries. These experiences taught me to lead and grow with peers. the Prefect Team is more than a guardian of school rules; it’s a model of collaboration. Never forget to support each other. As the saying goes, “When you give someone a rose, its fragrance lingers on your hand.” Go write your own new chapter!
Taking on a leadership role is a promise—one that brings responsibility, challenges, and countless chances to make a difference. Every duty, every event, every interaction helps shape our school culture. Leadership isn’t about power; it’s about setting an example and leaving a lasting impact. That is the message Head Prefects hope to pass on.
The 2024–2025 Secondary Prefect Team has wrapped up their term. Living the ethos of "leading through service," they have left an indelible mark on campus as mentors and peers. This is not an end, just a pause—after resting, we will go farther and stronger. May their spirit inspire future teams, nurturing our school’s culture of self-discipline, teamwork, and vitality.
