Eyes on June, Towards Success: 9M1 100-Day Countdown Pledge for High School Entrance Examination

On 18th March, with 100 days remaining until the High School Entrance Exam, the classroom of 9M1 was filled with resolute pledges and a strong sense of purpose. This themed class meeting marked the 100-day countdown for Grade 9 students following the Mainland Curriculum. Here, dreams were ignited, resolve was strengthened, and we witnessed another cohort of PKXYS students setting out towards the first major challenge of their youth.

The class meeting began with an inspiring English poetry recitation, "Start Insignificant, End Magnificently", performed by younger students from the Grade 7 innovation class, 7M2. Their heartfelt delivery conveyed sincere encouragement and best wishes to their seniors. This was followed by a performance of "The Brightest Star in the Night Sky" by students from 8M1. The melody echoed through the classroom, as if reminding everyone that every moment of perseverance builds towards success, and every effort made for one's dreams will shine brightly in June.

Subsequently, class teacher Ms. CHEN addressed the class. Drawing on detailed data and vivid examples, she shared the latest information about the High School Entrance Exam and guided students to reflect on their journey over recent months—the late nights of hard work, the challenges faced, and the satisfaction of personal breakthroughs. Her words resonated deeply, encouraging students to move forward with renewed determination.

To help clarify effective preparation strategies, student PENG was invited to share her learning experience. She spoke candidly about time management, strategies for strengthening strong subjects, approaches to improving weaker areas, and effective methods for reviewing mistakes. As she shared her practical insights, students listened attentively—taking notes, reflecting, and refining their approach as they built confidence for the road ahead.

The highlight of the event was the address by Executive Deputy Principal SHEN Xiaoyi. He reflected on the experiences of the previous two cohorts, noting that their lessons would provide valuable guidance for this year's students. He commended the perseverance and focus shown over the past six months and encouraged students to make the most of the final stage—identifying gaps, strengthening practice, and preparing thoroughly for the challenges ahead. "May you, through this journey, develop resilience, courage, and determination, and may your efforts be rewarded with success in June," he remarked.

At the close of the event, all participants gathered around the motivational banner. As names were written and pledges made, each signature stood as a symbol of commitment and determination. It was a shared promise among classmates and a declaration of ambition. As the moment was captured, eyes shone with focus and smiles reflected quiet confidence—marking not only a memorable occasion for 9M1, but also a clear signal of their final push towards the examination.

One hundred days to go, all eyes on June.

With full commitment, they press forward towards their goal.

May the students of 9M1 carry today's resolve with them and,

through their efforts in the months ahead,

reach their own summit of success this summer.
