When Flame Trees Bloom, Youth Takes Flight

Highlights from the 2nd Grade 9 Graduation Ceremony of PKXYS

As the summer heat gently sweeps across the campus and the flame trees bloom, Shenzhen Hong Kong Pui Kiu College Longhua Xinyi School (PKXYS) held its 2nd Grade 9 Graduation Ceremony on 11th July 2025. More than a celebration, the ceremony served as a heartfelt reflection on three years of growth — and a launchpad for students setting sail toward new horizons, carrying with them memories, aspirations, and hope.

The ceremony opened with a solemn flag-raising, as all the teachers and students stood in respectful silence.

Cherished Memories:Classmates, Teachers, and Time Well Spent

The screen lit up with a touching retrospective video, offering a glimpse into the students' journey over the past three years. Each frame captured laughter, tears, and moments that now shimmer like stars in the galaxy of their youth.

Next came a touching teacher-student dialogue "A Message to Us". Teachers spoke candidly and fondly of the time shared with their students, while the students, in simple and sincere words, expressed their deep gratitude and reluctance to part. The strong bonds between them touched everyone present.

The energy shifted as students took to the stage for a spirited dance performance, "Youth in Full Flight". With poise and exuberance, they embodied the vitality of adolescence and left a lasting imprint on their shared memories of junior secondary school.

Gratitude for Support:Steady, Unseen, Always There

A second video, "Transformation", traced the students' development from tentative first steps to confident strides. Behind every image was the quiet strength of parents—their care, patience, and unwavering support through every stage of growth.

Then, the dance performance "In Step Together" reignited the celebratory mood. Full of rhythm, joy, and unity, it was a vibrant reminder of the camaraderie that defined their years together.

The parent representative shared a heartfelt message of thanks to the school and its teachers, and offered warm blessings to the graduates as they prepare to embark on a new chapter.

Charting a Bright Future:Guided by Dreams, Driven by Youth

Principal Mr. Tommy WONG Tang Tat and Executive Principal Dr. WANG Hongjun presented each graduate with their certificate and took commemorative photos—capturing not only a milestone, but a treasured memory.

In his address, Principal Mr. Tommy WONG Tang Tat encouraged the graduates: "Dear students, graduation is not an end but a new beginning. Wherever life takes you, forge ahead with the wisdom, courage, and character that our school has helped shape in you. May you rise like the tides of the Greater Bay Area and shine as a symbol of China on the world stage. No matter how far you go, know that your school will always be proud of you—and its doors will always be open to welcome you home."

As a parting gift, younger students sang "The Brightest Star in the Night Sky", their clear voices carrying admiration, affection, and well-wishes for their graduating seniors.

The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt performance of the school song, sung together by all students and teachers. Graduates then gathered around the Memory Wall, leaving behind messages of hope, courage, and dreams to revisit in ten years' time. As they step into the wider world, may they carry with them the knowledge and strength gained here, face the future with courage, and shine in their own unique way.

Youth never fades, and the future awaits with open arms!
