At PKXYS Primary School Division, fostering students' language skills lies at the heart of our Chinese subject. We place special emphasis on nurturing their writing and communication abilities, and are committed to providing a variety of platforms where students can showcase their learning and growth. Wenhui—our student writing anthology—was born from this educational vision. Carefully curated by both teachers and students, it brings together written pieces ranging from classroom assignments to independent creations. Here, we value each unique perspective and heartfelt expression. Through the power of words, we hope to inspire more children to observe the world around them, express their ideas, and develop a genuine love for language in everyday life.

With this aim in mind, we invited our principals to share their reflections:

Principal Mr. Tommy WONG Tang Tat:

At university, I studied geography. G. Tyler Miller Jr.'s Living in the Environment left a lasting impression on me. This environmental science textbook helped me understand the deep, symbiotic relationship between human and nature. Its message of sustainability strongly resonated with my later work in education and community service. Whether teaching students or serving the wider community, we must learn to respect nature and protect our environment.

Books have been like invisible mentors to me, offering strength and guidance at different points in my life. I hope both teachers and students can find their own guiding stars through reading—because any good books might just hold the key to changing a life.

Executive Principal Dr. WANG Hongjun:

These days, bookshops are filled with beautiful editions of the classics, gleaming behind glass displays. But whenever I see young people rushing past the shelves, eyes fixed on their cell phones, I remember the time when I would cross half a city just to borrow a single book. Scarlett O'Hara once said, "Tomorrow is another day." To the youth of today, I say this: when you meet countless lives between the lines of a book, those sleeping stars on the page will, one day, light up your sky. Reading is not an escape from reality but the storm that gives your soul wings. It teaches us to keep our eyes on the stars—even as we walk through life's thorns.

May Wenhui continue to bear witness to every child's journey of growth, and may the seeds of thought planted here blossom into something truly brilliant.
