Youth in Motion,Future in Sight! A Full Recap of the Start of the 2025-2026 Academic Year at PKXYS

1st September marked the official start of the new academic year at PKXYS.

Will there be tears as the little ones say goodbye to Mum and Dad?

Will our new students quickly settle into primary school life?

And after a long summer break, will everyone be ready to hit the ground running?

As parents carry all these questions in mind, we captured every confident step our students took on their journey of growth.

Welcome Camp: Discovering a New Campus

On 28th and 29th August, our special "Icebreaker Programme" for new students officially began.

With parent seminars and campus tours, families were well-prepared and full of confidence before the first day of school.

Boarding Students Return: Building Independence

From 30th to 31st August, our secondary students officially moved into the dormitories.

To make their return smooth and welcoming, we offered a range of thoughtful services:

1.One-stop support

From guided check-in to dormitory set-up and interactive games — everything was in place to help students settle in smoothly.

2.Health & Wellbeing

We were honoured to welcome an expert from the University of Hong Kong – Shenzhen Hospital, who delivered an insightful talk on adolescent health management.

3.Skills for success

Through etiquette training, dorm life orientation, and real-life case discussions on school rules, new boarders quickly became confident and well-prepared for campus life.

Students' schedules were packed with meaningful activities.

Spotless four-person rooms quickly took on a warm, lively atmosphere.

Amid laughter and shared moments, unfamiliar faces soon became new friends.

First Day of School: A Bright Start

On the 1st of September, students returned to campus in the soft morning light.

Teachers and members of the Principal's Office were already at the gate, warmly welcoming students and their families.

New students beamed with excitement, snapping photos with fun photo frames — and instantly collecting a flood of "likes"!

Under the loving gaze of their families, our young learners made their way into school.

Some had slightly rumpled uniforms — patiently adjusted by caring teachers.

A few lost their way — gently guided by smiling staff and classmates.

Others could hardly wait — rushing in to reunite with their classmates.

In the bustle of the morning, every moment became a memory to cherish.

On this special day, students experienced many "firsts":

✔First greetings from new friends

✔ First dive into the world of knowledge

✔ First steps towards independence

Opening Ceremony: Growing Together

On the day, we held separate opening ceremonies for our Grade 1 newcomers, primary students, and secondary students.

In a solemn and heartfelt ceremony, the entire school joined in singing the national anthem to mark the start of the new academic year.

Head Principal Mr. WU Yuk Chi encouraged students to face challenges head-on and to have the courage to step out of their comfort zones in pursuit of broader horizons.

Principal Mr. Tommy WONG Tang Tat likened the students to young saplings, wishing them steady growth into towering trees.

Executive Principal Dr. WANG Hongjun offered special advice to our Primary One pupils: to learn independence, and to practise gratitude and kindness.

With cherished memories in hand, our students happily and confidently completed their first day.

In the coming year, PKXYS will continue to uphold its vision: "Nurture Brilliant Generations" to help our students flourish and grow into the future leaders of the world.
