Home-School Partnership: Nurturing the Future Together——A Heartwarming Look Back at the 2025–2026 Pui Kiu Xinyi Kindergarten Parents' Night

On the evening of 10th October, the warm lights of Pui Kiu Xinyi Kindergarten set the tone for a joyful and harmonious gathering — the 2025–2026 Parents' Night. More than just an event, it was a heartfelt reunion centred on love, aimed at strengthening the mutual understanding and trust between home and school, working together to support every child's growth.

Stepping into a Day in the Life at Kindergarten

The evening kicked off with a special gift from the teachers: a video showcasing a typical day in the children's school life. From cheerful morning greetings to engaging group activities, from nutritious mealtimes to peaceful naps, parents caught a glimpse of their children's independence, focus, and joy at school. Smiles of reassurance and pride lit up their faces.

Fostering Real-World Skills: From Self-Care to Social Confidence

We believe that true education equips children with skills they can carry for life — not burdens they must bear. Good habits and abilities are among the most valuable gifts we can offer our children. Teachers shared vivid examples of the children's progress in self-care, from carefully fitting tiny feet into shoes to responsibly tidying up their toys; from eagerly washing hands with bubbles to gently wiping their mouths after meals. These everyday moments mark important beginnings in building a sense of order and responsibility.

Parents were warmly encouraged to give their children more opportunities to practise these skills at home — to let go a little, and to allow their children to gain confidence through experience and joy through achievement.

Social development is also a key focus. Teachers shared how classroom routines and structured play — such as group games and role-playing — help children learn to wait their turn, share with others, express themselves, and empathise with their peers. Consistent, gentle guidance from both home and school is essential for children to build a healthy sense of rules and mature social skills.

Curriculum Alignment: Learning Together, Growing Together

Teachers also walked parents through the current term's curriculum and learning goals, giving them a clearer understanding of the school's teaching philosophy and daily learning content. We believe education shouldn't be limited to the classroom — it should extend into every part of a child's life, including the home.

That's why we engaged in sincere conversations about how parents can become learning partners at home: reading together to plant the seeds of a love for books; exploring the neighbourhood to observe the patterns in leaves and the shapes of clouds; encouraging imagination through free play, sparking creativity and self-expression, and so on. When home and school work in harmony, we can create a stable, supportive learning environment where children can thrive.

Walking Together Toward a Bright Future

This Parents' Night concluded with heartfelt conversations and a deep sense of connection. We are truly grateful to every parent for your trust and support — your presence is not only an investment in your child's future, but also a powerful source of encouragement for our work.

Education is a beautiful journey; growth is a duet between home and school. Let us continue to build bridges of trust and beams of communication, walking hand in hand toward a hopeful future — and watching each child blossom and shine in their own unique way in the warm, caring community of Pui Kiu Xinyi Kindergarten.

Admission application procedure

The 2025-2026 Admission Application

(Pui Kiu Xinyi Kindergarten)

If you intend to enrol in PKXY Kindergarten, please complete your application form through our online application system.

The application deadline is 31st December 2025.

Parents are required to fill out the application form online. Once confirmed, the system will issue a "Candidate Number" for future reference.

If there are available places, our school will contact suitable applicants for an interview. Parents should use the Candidate Number provided to check the status of their application.
