Courses Framework

▲Note: Each year, one or two new elective subjects may be introduced. The subjects offered each year will depend on the school's curriculum arrangements.
Features
Diversified Pathways, Elite Destinations
In Grades 9-12, students have the opportunity to transfer to different curricula in the school according to their performance in each grade, so as to meet their individual needs for further studies. When applying for undergraduate universities, students have a wide range of choices, such as overseas universities in the United Kingdom, the United States, Singapore, Canada, etc., and universities in Hong Kong or the Mainland of China. This curriculum framework provides students with a wider scope of learning and further studies.

2025 Universities Admissions Results of International Curriculum
In 2025, 100% of our Grade 12 International Curriculum graduates received conditional offers from universities ranked in the global QS Top 40, and all of them successfully converted to full admissions. Every student has headed to their dream university! Their chosen fields of study include chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, computer science, artificial intelligence, maths, business and management, accounting, and more. Some of the university destinations include:

2025 Public Exam Results of International Curriculum
Grade 12 A-Level Results
38% of students achieved AAA*A or above
50% of students achieved 4 A grades or above

Grade 11 AS Results
36% of students achieved A*aaa or above

IGCSE Results
Our school's first IGCSE cohort has achieved remarkable results, delivering an encouraging and commendable performance.

Among them,
· Two students attained straight A* or A grades across all subjects.
· Eleven students achieved A* or A grades in six or more subjects.
· Thirty five students were awarded the Cambridge International Certificate of Education (Cambridge ICE Award). This prestigious certificate is accredited by Cambridge Assessment International Education to recognise students who not only study a minimum of seven IGCSE subjects but also achieve consistently high performance across a broad and balanced curriculum. It is a testament to their dedication, all-rounded development, and outstanding academic potential.
A World-Class Achievement!
We are proud to announce that one of our students was awarded Top in the World in the Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards for achieving the highest standard mark globally in IGCSE Mathematics.

Group Teaching in Line with the Students' Abilities
The International Curriculum adopts group teaching based on each student's overall academic abilities, and has set up after-school classes for students to develop their talents and provide them with small group tutoring. The Gifted Classes are designed to develop students' abilities in specific areas, provide students with more in-depth and specialised learning resources, and help students prepare for international competitions. The Enrichment Classes are designed to help students strengthen their basic knowledge in the subject, so that students can better adapt to the requirements of the International Curriculum. In the 2024-2025 academic year alone, our students participated in over 35 international competitions in mathematics, science, and economics, winning a total of 143 global gold medals and 630 awards.

College Counselling Available at All Stages
Once a student joins the International Curriculum, the student will be guided at all stages by a designated college counselling teacher. The teacher will communicate with students and parents on a one-on-one basis about academic English, subject studies, and personal growth, which will be recorded in the personal file. Therefore, each student is provided with customised service of professional and systematic guidance on overseas education application and career planning. Meanwhile, college counselling classes are held weekly for students to systematically understand the knowledge of professional options and further education. Gradually, students will set their goals and improve their competence. In addition, PKXYS regularly organises university fairs, inviting admission officers and representatives from top universities in the UK, US, Hong Kong, and Macao for face-to-face communication with students, providing first-hand information.

The Ace Programme – Pathway to Top Universities
The Ace Programme, designed for our International Department, is built on the philosophy of "Nurture Brilliant Generations." It selects academically outstanding students and pairs them with top experts in various fields to explore professional pathways. Academic mentors meet with students weekly, creating a supportive environment that helps students enhance their academic prowess. Students are encouraged to independently complete a research project each term, which is then shared with peers. The programme also offers targeted preparation for entrance exams and interviews for top universities such as Oxford, Cambridge, and Ivy League universities.

Embrace the World beyond the Campus
We place great emphasis on practical skills and real-world application, encouraging students to explore both academic and professional interests. By collaborating with universities, businesses, and research labs, we integrate industry and research with education. Our students benefit from extracurricular opportunities such as expert lectures, company visits, and research projects. These experiences not only enhance their practical skills but also provide valuable research and hands-on training, better preparing them for their future careers.

Cultivate Future Leaders
Our International Department places great emphasis on developing students' character, particularly in leadership and teamwork, and tracks their growth and achievements through the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award. By organising and coordinating major school events like Chinese Culture Day and subject podcasts, students can unleash their creativity and leadership skills. To further enrich campus life, our school boasts over 60 student-led clubs and societies across areas like the arts, sports, academics, charity, and innovation. These include groups such as the Coffee House, Economic Academic Forum, English Drama Club, AI and Robotics Club, Amateur Radio Club, Go Club, Metal Music Club, iGEM Club, Chinese Dance Club, Cantonese Club, Karaoke Club, and First-Aid Club, among many others.

About Us
Founded in 2021, Shenzhen Hong Kong Pui Kiu College Longhua Xinyi School (PKXYS) combines Chinese and Western educational practices and bridges Shenzhen and Hong Kong. It is the first international boarding school in the Mainland of China to offer three curricula, namely mainland curriculum, Hong Kong curriculum, and international curriculum. In addition, it is the first school in the Mainland of China to adopt an operational model aligned with Hong Kong's subsidised or direct subsidy scheme schools. This model has been coordinated by the Hong Kong Education Bureau and confirmed by the Hong Kong Council for Academic Accreditation (HKCAA) through external evaluation. The school is also the first and only Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSE) Centre in Shenzhen. In 2023, Shenzhen Hong Kong Pui Kiu College Longhua Xinyi Kindergarten was founded, and PKXYS became the first 16-year through-train international school in the Mainland of China, offering education from kindergarten to senior secondary school.

Well-equipped Campus Facilities
The school covers a total area of 45,000 square metres, with a built-up area of 200,000 square metres. It is equipped with a standard football field, a 400-metre track, a heated indoor swimming pool, a basketball court, a climbing wall and tennis courts. In addition, the school offers a grand hall, a grand theatre, a campus TV station, a 400-seat theatre, three tiered lecture halls, a large two-storey library, a lower primary library, a two-storey canteen, a separate dormitory and a family residence building.

Accessible Campus

It offers direct access to West Kowloon Station in the heart of Hong Kong within approximately 18 minutes, Guangzhou South Railway Station within 29 minutes, and approximately 15 Chinese mainland provincial capital cities, making transportation extremely convenient. The school is at the intersection of Metro Lines 4, 5, and 6.
